SSC CGL Tier II Exam 2018 protests grow louder as candidates demand CBI inquiry


New Delhi: Even as Chairman of Staff Selection Commission, SSC released an official statement regarding the Combined Graduate Level Examination, the protests by candidates continue to grow louder. Many students have taken to the social media channel twitter to talk about the examination conducted by SSC. Candidates are alleging a scam in the conduct of the examination and expressed a desire for a CBI inquiry into the matter. The commission, however, has in return issued an official statement and requested for dialogue and representations along with validations of the allegations.

Graduate Level, CGL Tier II examination 2018. Issued from the desk of the Chairman, the circular confirms that the commission has agreed to meet protestors and agitators. The protestors have been directed to present substantive evidence to support their claims till 6 pm today, February 28, 2018. The commission has recently concluded the CGL Tier II examination on February 22, 2018.

While the true nature of the protest is not ascertained at the moment, sources suggest that the students have been protesting near the office of the commission following the cancellation of the CGL paper conducted at a centre in New Delhi on February 17, 2018. The commission had decided not to re-conduct the examination. The Chairman's message also notes that the commission believes that two coaching institutes are behind the agitation. In order to resolve the dispute and restore order, the commission has decided to hear the protestors. In a separate incident, the commission has decided to re-conduct the Paper I conducted on February 21, following incidents when the download of the question papers had delayed the examination. The commission has taken cognizance of the same and decided to re-conduct the examination. The CGL Tier II Examinations are conducted for recruitment of various departmental examinations at the graduate level. The re-examination of the above-mentioned test would be conducted for all the centres on March 9, 2018
